Fun Post: Tasmanian Devils

Tasmanian Devils are mammals that live in Tasmania which is an island state in Australia.  In the wild, a Tasmanian Devil can survive for about 5 years.  It is also about 20-31 inches in size.  The weight can vary from 9-36 pounds. 
Right now, they are endangered because there is a contagious cancer going around.  Cancer may not be contagious, but for the the Tasmanian Devils, it is.  It is called Devil Facial Tumor Disease or DFTD.  It causes large lumps around the Devils' mouth and head.  This makes it hard for them to eat.  Eventually, they starve to death.  This disease was discovered in the mid-1900's and it has killed tens and thousands of Tasmanian Devils.
The Tasmanian Devil is the world's largest carnivorous marsupial.  They survive by eating small prey such as, snakes, birds, fish and insects.  They can clear the landscapes of dead carcuses.  Devils only come out at night to feed and when they do find something to eat, they will eat the entire animal.  Including hair, organs and bones.

Assignment 1

I live in a small town in America.  There are many local swimming pools, tennis courts and plenty of other fun facilities so there is always something to do.  Somethings about me are: I like to listen to pop music, I can hold my breath for a minute, I like water skiing and my favorite animal is a Tasmanian Devil.  What I do for fun is to read books and play sports.  I like reading good books only.  If it is a bad book, I will still read it, but not as well as I read good books.  Sports are great because you can get exercise while having fun.  My favorite sports are tennis and track.  To improve my tennis I watch professional tennis matches or practice with a coach.  I like track because a lot of my friends do it and during practice we all get to talk and have a lot of fun.  These are some facts about me and now I will say what will be on my blog.
On this blog, there will be stories and assignments.  I hope to learn more about blogging and how people use it.  I'm not very familiar with blogging so I hope to learn from other people.
